Hello DSA Families,
We’re excited to announce that our new Student Discord Waiver is now available on our website under the “Individual Forms” tab! This is for students who wish to join our school’s Discord server, a digital space for communication within our community.
If you’re new to Discord or unsure about how to use the invitation link, please refer to our blog post titled “Joining Discord”. This guide will walk you through the sign-up process and help you get started.
Key Requirements for Student Participation (Please Read Carefully):

Students must be at least 13 years old. This age requirement is in line with Discord’s Terms of Service and ensures a safe and appropriate environment for all participants.

Parents are responsible for monitoring their child’s activity on the server. It’s crucial that you stay informed about your child’s online interactions and help guide them towards positive and respectful communication.

Students are expected to adhere to all server rules. These rules are designed to maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for everyone. Please ensure your child understands and agrees to these guidelines. Make sure to give the rules post a thumbs up after reading to let us know you understand and agree. Rules are applied to everyone regardless, but it’s better if you’re informed.

Students are to only chat in the student-designated areas with other students. This helps maintain a focused and age-appropriate discussion space.

DSA administrators do not interact with students regarding school matters. DSA only communicates with parents/guardians regarding school matters. If you, the parent, have a general question, feel free to ask in Discord. If you have a complex question, please email us.
Waiver Submission Options:
You can fill out the waiver either electronically or physically.
- Electronically: Complete the waiver online and email it back to us.
- Physically: Print the waiver, fill it out, and send it via regular mail.
Remember, this is optional. As a parent, you have the right to request the removal of your child from the server at any time. Additionally, please be aware that if a student fails to abide by the server rules, they will face removal from the server.
